Tides for Pegasus Bay beaches
One of most popular coastal locations for blokart sailing near Christchurch is the Pegasus Bay beaches with long runs of firm sand (a couple of hours either-side of low tide) and regular easterly and north easterly winds. The links below give you the latest tide and wind information for Pegasus Bay beaches. With the right conditions it is possible to sail all the way from the south end of Brighton Spit (Southshore) to the Waimakariri River mouth, a distance of about 19km. Along the way you pass through South New Brighton Beach, New Brighton Beach, North New Brighton Beach, Waimairi Beach, Bottle Lake Beach & Spencer Park Beach.
